This place is all about location, location, location—just wait until you see where we ended up! Right across from the Bellagio and Caesars Palace, it’s also just steps away from Horseshoe, Paris, The Cromwell, Flamingo, and so many other center strip Hotels. We strolled over from The Cosmopolitan, and it took us all of 10 minutes. And speaking of Cosmo, make sure you check out our latest Cosmo Casino Walk and Lanai 2-Story Suite Tour. One of the highlights of our night was undoubtedly the view of the Bellagio Fountains from our VIP corner and the balcony! 🙂 Absolutely epic! Getting In The line for the 1st floor was pretty intense (see the video), stretching down the sidewalk with very warm guests waiting to get in (It is 100F +). But thanks to a tip from a friend, we bypassed that line by heading straight for the 2nd-floor entrance near the skybridge. The 1st and 2nd floors are dedicated to dining and drinks, but if you’re just there to enjoy a few cocktails, you’ll want to head straight for the 3rd floor or the rooftop bar where seating is first come, first served. Discovering the VIP Lounge at Ole Red Las Vegas As soon as we got into the elevator, I noticed that the 3rd-floor button was already lit up—labeled VIP. so I thought, what the heck, might as well see what VIP is about.  I saw security near the bar and I asked if this area was open seating.  He said the 3rd Floor was previously VIP and that they recently opened it up as open seating! We claimed a cozy corner spot with comfy couches and unbeatable views of the Bellagio Fountains. It felt like the entire floor was ours to enjoy! Atmosphere & Live Music The vibe here is just incredible. Whether you’re a country music fan or not, the live performances are truly top-notch, and the atmosphere is something special. With 3 Floors of fun indoors and a party on the roof, this is the place to be. The Bands put on a heck of a show, which has a stadium effect because of the 3 floors of viewing. There are TV’s located around the bar streaming the live music which is a cool touch. Rooftop Casual by day, luxurious by night with premium cocktails, live DJ sets, and panoramic Strip views. We didn’t make it up to the rooftop bar this time—it was still 100°F even at night—but that just gives us another reason to return. Welcome to another exciting Hotel Room Tour with Sandtastic Travels! Today, we find ourselves in sunny Las Vegas, exploring the heart of the Strip, one of the most sought-after hotels in Vegas reviewing the Exclusive Lanai Suite The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. If you caught our Blog on The Cosmopolitan Wraparound Terrace Suite Fountain View or have been following us for a while you probably know it is our personal favorite place to stay when visiting Las Vegas.   Full 4K Video Tour of this Amazing Suite–   How We Scored the Upgrade I want to share how we were able to get the upgrade to this suite so that it might encourage others to be brave and ask questions.  Since we’re from the Seattle area, we were a little worried about dealing with the Las Vegas heat – especially when it’s 110 degrees during the day and still 100 at night. The pools close at 6 pm, which doesn’t help when it’s still scorching out. We’d always dreamed of staying in the Lanai Suite because it has a private plunge pool you can use 24/7. So, I called The Cosmopolitan a week before our trip to see about upgrading. Initially, they quoted $500+ per night, totaling $2600 for our 4-night stay. So we decided to stick with the Free Boulevard Tower Fountain View Room. But at check-in, I asked again about the Lanai Suite upgrade. They still quoted $500 per night, but I asked if there was any way to get a better price. After a bit of back and forth between the Hotel Check-in Clerk and him speaking with the manager, they agreed to an upgrade for just $150 a night. What a deal!  As a dear friend always tells me, “Asking is Free.” Don’t be afraid to ask about upgrades, we score so many great rooms by doing this.  Don’t be afraid to ask, the worst thing that can happen is they say no.  And always tip the front desk clerk if they are especially helpful.  Be sure to subscribe to our channel and check out our website travel blog, we already have a ton of travel videos and will be sharing more travel tips and hack videos in the future.     The Suite Tour | Lanai Suite The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas   Downstairs Entry 3/4 Bathroom with Shower Welcome to the Lanai Suite at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas! As soon as you step in, you’re greeted by an elegant entryway leading to a well-appointed 3/4 bath with a shower – perfect for guests or to take a quick rinse after a plunge in the pool!       Entry & Artwork Stepping into the Lanai Suite, you’re greeted by an elegant entryway beyond the well-appointed 3/4 bath. The Suite has beautiful modern artwork throughout and a floor-to-ceiling tiled mirror.     Kitchen and Eating Area for 4 Guests It is great to have a kitchen/dining area while staying in a hotel room or suite. This space is sleek and functional with a wet bar, sink, honor bar, honor bar fridge, and a personal mini fridge. It’s so handy for preparing snacks or mixing up your favorite drinks. Next to the kitchen, we have a seating area for four, A flatscreen TV along with beautiful artwork that adds a touch of elegance and vibrancy to the space.  Make sure to try the in-room dining options, they were surprisingly affordable for being in a 5 Star Hotel, not that they are cheap, but not as bad as you would think…     Grand Living Area The living room features a huge sectional couch, a large TV, and Bluetooth connectivity for all your entertainment needs. The grand staircase leading to the loft, combined with additional artwork, creates a stunning focal point.     Private Outdoor Patio One of our favorite spots was the private outdoor patio with a plunge pool. Normally, these pools are hot tubs, but a quick chat with the pool guy had it cooled down for a refreshing dip. Pure bliss! While this suite doesn’t have direct access to The Chelsea Pool, the entrance is just a 20-second walk away. Nine of the eleven Lanai Suites do offer direct pool access, but we found the short walk no issue.     Back Inside: The Loft Master Suite Heading back inside, we ascend the grand stairwell with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of The Chelsea Pool. The loft-style master bedroom features a luxurious king bed and a large TV, designed for ultimate relaxation. The motorized shades and smart lighting modes add to the suite’s luxury.       Master Bathroom The master bathroom is spacious and stylish, with his and hers sinks, a large closet stocked with plush slippers and robes, a glass-enclosed toilet area, and a huge shower space.  Sandtastic said that the lighting wasn’t great for putting on makeup.  There is no makeup mirror with a vanity or lit makeup mirror like many higher-end rooms have.  Overall the bathroom was very nice, but adding a bench or a couple more shower heads in the enormous shower and a makeup mirror in the seating space in the bedroom would have been a nice extra touch.     Final Thoughts Staying in The Cosmopolitan’s Lanai Suite was a dream come true. From the thrill of securing the upgrade to enjoying the luxurious amenities and private plunge pool, it was an experience we’ll never forget. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a special celebration, the Lanai Suite is worth every penny. If you ever find yourself in Las Vegas, I highly recommend checking out this amazing suite.
